Secret Scientology Compound: Australia's 'Child Labour Camp'

In the middle of suburban Australia is a secret compound that's labelled 'degrading' and 'inhumane', with allegations of keeping children prisoner.

Right in the middle of a quiet suburb is a place where children are separated from their parents, and forced to work full time for no pay, and live in squalid conditions.

Those who've survived this place say they were brainwashed into believing they could not leave, and that they deserved the shocking treatment dished out.

A young man who escaped the place with the help of his father, Shane Kelsey says “I lived in that garage for about a year and a half, maybe two years.”

Shane is now 21-years-old. Until just over a year ago he had never used the internet, watched television or followed the media.

“You're not allowed to read any books other than scientology books, you can't read newspapers, no radio, no movies, nothing,” Shane said.

Shane says he was held captive and groomed to see all of us on the outside as pathetic, useless and stupid.

Disney Heroines Meet Their Demise In A Twisted Take On Fairytale Endings

The French photographer's series, 'From Enchantment to Down', includes alternate endings for The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and other saccharine heroines. But in his re-imagining, the women meet their demise.

The series of sinister images, which walks viewers into crime scenes, feature most of the princesses splayed face down in abandoned rooms, as if having tripped and fallen, their high heels tumbling off their feet in attempt to flee an attacker.

Jasmine's legs appear from behind a lighted hallway, a blue puff of smoke from a genie lamp suggesting someone else was just here.

A flame-haired Ariel is washed ashore but appears limp and lifeless, her legs bound in seaweed and plastic between a pair of rocks.

Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood, as if caught by surprise, have dropped their baskets of fruit in two other scenes, while Alice in Wonderland is slumped over in a chair, feet away from a dead white rabbit, in an abandoned basement.

Room 237: Have You Ever Seen A Hidden Message?

By Marc Da Cunha Lopes featured in Wad Magazine October 2011

Have you ever seen a hidden message?

In 1980 Stanley Kubrick released his classic horror film, The Shining. Loved and hated by equal numbers, the film is considered a genre standard by many loyalists, while other viewers dismiss it as the lazy result of a legendary director working far below his talent level.

In between these two poles, however, live the conspiracy theories of ardent fans who are convinced they have decoded The Shining’s secret messages regarding genocide, government conspiracy, and the nightmare that we call history.

Rodney Ascher’s documentary, Room 237, fuses fact and fiction through interviews with the fans and scholars who espouse these theories, and reworking the film’s scenes forward and backward.

Symbols Of Power And The Power Of Symbols

If you lived in a a time when most people could not read or write and did not move far from the place where they were born, how would you show that someone was important, or powerful?

Crowns, scepters and elaborate clothing help send this message, so the royal family and gods in ancient Egypt were often shown wearing these. Kings also built large, richly decorated palaces and temples to the gods to demonstrate their control.

There were sometimes challenges to the king. There were times when powerful officials or foreign rulers took charge of the whole country, or part of it. The same symbols of power were used by these new rulers.

The photos are of The Royal Pavilion in Brighton; England - an extraordinary and extravagant pleasure palace built for the Prince Regent, later King George IV, in stages between 1787 and 1823, the Royal Pavilion is remarkable for its exotic oriental appearance both inside and out. This magnificent royal pleasure palace was revered by fashionable Regency society and is still a distinctive landmark for vibrant Brighton & Hove today.

Superb Owl Worship: High Priestess Madonna Performing Illuminati Ritual During Half Time

“In Anderson’s daytime exclusive with Madonna, airing on Thursday, February 2, Madonna says she’s nervous about performing during halftime at the Super Bowl.

“Oh my God, I’m so nervous, you have no idea,” says Madonna. “First of all it’s the Super Bowl, I mean the Super Bowl is kind of like the holy of holies in America right? So here I am, I’m going to come into the halfway between the church experience and I’m going to have to deliver a sermon, that’s going to have to be very impactful.”

She continues, “Right? I have to put on the greatest show on earth, in the middle of the greatest show on earth. I have eight minutes to set it up and seven minutes to take it down and twelve minutes to put on the greatest show on earth. That’s a lot of pressure.”

Let the sermon begin! Madonna, high priestess of Pop opens her Illuminati ritual performance at the Super Bowl 2012. Here seen dressed as the Egyptian Goddess Isis drawn onto stage in a chariot like throne by Roman Gladiator clad slaves. The women at the front of the procession are carrying what looks like Canopic jars.

Inanna ( Inannasumerianblack.png) ) is the Sumerian goddess of sexual love, fertility, and warfare.

M.I.A. flipping the middle finger - telling she doesn't give a sh*t. This allegedly angered the Queen of Pop, but i think it was planned - it was part of the ritual and meant to cause a stir, just like Janet Jackson's (and Justin Timberlake's) 'nipple-slip' a few years ago. Check out quick link below regarding the history and meaning of 'flipping the middle finger'.

Triumphant Inanna-Ishtar, winged, with foot on her roaring lion and star symbol, being worshiped by a lesser goddess. Black-stone cylinder seal. Akkadian, ca. 2334-2154 BCE.

World peace! From who's perspective?

This image gives far from a feeling of peace. It's dark and ominous ... the letters in world peace look like they are crumbling and there seems to be what looks like the outline of a Nazi eagle 'hovering' over the Super Bowl, or rather, emerging from the crowd.

Willow Smith Shaved Head: Why Did The Teen Queen Go To Such Extremes?

If your biggest claim to fame was "whipping your hair back and forth," would you suddenly shave off all of your strands in favor of a buzz cut? Most would answer no, but for singer Willow Smith, that answer is YES. The 11-year-old debuted a severely cropped cut yesterday (Feb. 2) on her Twitter page, shocking many fans. While this story is strange enough as it is -- famous or not, how many tweens do you know who would chop off all of their hair? -- making it even more intriguing is the fact the typically chatty star gave no explanation for her sudden hair overhaul. The youngest Smith simply posted the photo on her social media pages ... leading to speculation that something had occurred in Willow's life to cause such a shocking reaction, a la Britney Spears. But Willow wasn't the only Smith sib making noise on Twitter yesterday. Earlier in the day, brother Jaden posted the cryptic tweet: "Worst Day Of My Life." Had something happened within the Smith family to prompt such varying, yet extreme, reactions from both Willow and Jaden?

7 Stupid Misconceptions About Home-Schooled Kids

As a kid, I was home schooled for 5 years. Those five years were probably the best and most enjoyable 5 years of my entire educational career.

They taught me how to think for myself, how to be self-motivated and driven, how to think outside the box, how to ignore stereotypes, and how to work independently.

The hilarious thing is just how many ridiculous misconceptions and outright lies are thought and told about home schooled kids.

Here are seven of them that are all pretty funny!

Top Five Regrets Of The Dying

In a time of looming wars, terror attacks, riots, financial and political instability, long working hours, degradation of humanity, breaking up of the family, attacks on the individual and a constant barrage of horrible and negative news, it seems only appropriate to pay attention to this sad, but ultimately uplifting story, where I am reminded of what is really important in life...

Stay true to your self! Don't work so hard (for the 'Man')! Spend more quality time with family and friends!

A nurse has recorded the most common regrets of the dying, and among the top ones is: 'I wish I hadn't worked so hard'. What would your biggest regret be if this was your last day of life?

There was no mention of more sex or bungee jumps. A palliative nurse who has counseled the dying in their last days has revealed the most common regrets we have at the end of our lives. And among the top, from men in particular, is 'I wish I hadn't worked so hard'.

Bronnie Ware is an Australian nurse who spent several years working in palliative care, caring for patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives. She recorded their dying epiphanies in a blog called Inspiration and Chai, which gathered so much attention that she put her observations into a book called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying.

Ware writes of the phenomenal clarity of vision that people gain at the end of their lives, and how we might learn from their wisdom. "When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently," she says, "common themes surfaced again and again."

Here are the top five regrets of the dying, as witnessed by Ware.

Pepsi Getting Heat for Use Of Aborted Fetal Cells In Flavor Research

Shareholders of PepsiCo have filed a resolution with the Securities and Exchange Commission in an effort to force the company to stop contracting with a research firm that uses cells from aborted babies in its process of producing artificial flavor enhancers. According to, Pepsi has “ignored concerns and criticism from dozens of pro-life groups and tens of thousands of pro-life people who voiced their opposition to PepsiCo contracting with biotech company Senomyx even after it was found to be testing their food additives using fetal cells from abortions.”

On its website Senomyx explains that its flavor research programs “focus on the discovery and development of savory, sweet and salt flavor ingredients that are intended to allow for the reduction of MSG, sugar and salt in food and beverage products. Using isolated human taste receptors, we created proprietary taste receptor-based assay systems that provide a biochemical or electronic readout when a flavor ingredient interacts with the receptor.”

But Debi Vinnedge of Children of God for Life, a pro-life group that has focused its attention on Pepsi’s relationship with Senomyx, pointed out that what the company does not reveal is that it is “using HEK293 — human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce those receptors. They could have easily chosen animal, insect, or other morally obtained human cells expressing the G protein for taste receptors.”
